Petit Lot Syrah

Windows Estate Petit Lot Syrah is a cool climate expression of Shiraz, drawn from the estate Home Block in Margaret River. The vines grow in soils of well drained loam over gravel.

The fruit is handpicked when both the flavours and tannins have reached optimum ripeness. A small amount of the Syrah (Shiraz) fruit is co-fermented with a tiny proportion of Viognier. The remaining Syrah ferments with a parcel of whole bunches.

The wine is then carefully pressed off skins using a hand operated basket press. Maturation occurs in French oak over 12 months.

Deep red, Windows Estate Petit Lot Syrah is medium to full bodied with juicy dark fruit flavours, myriad spices and a lingering savoury finish. Cellaring potential is 10 years.
